It's Been Awhile

Has it been a month since I last posted to my Blog! Yes, I said that I would rest my fingers after completing Tony the Tiger. Have I been resting! No, I have been busy making clothes. I have completed 9 sundresses, 5 pr. shorts, and 2 quilted coverlets to be sent to "Girls in Khartoum, Africa". It was a change from my regular quilting.

I really do abuse my fingers, while I was busy making dresses, etc., I pulled out my stash of hand dyed pces of fabric as I was going to join in the 15 minute scrappy blocks. My first block turned out much larger than the 6 inch block so that was put aside for another time.

So I tried another method

That didn't quite work. I looked at my basket of hand dyed fabrics

Needless to say I was not going to put that basket back, I just had to come up with something to use up these pieces, so this is what I made. It is not quite finished as it has to be sandwiched, and quilted.

Now, I am definitely going to take a break. I am off to Manitoba [family illness] to give my sister a hand. I will not be posting for another month. I will definitely log onto my Blog at my son's place and keep up with all my blogging friends. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
